About

Tribal Fantasy are a dance troupe who blend a mix of traditional and modern “belly dance” styles,  in an interesting and evocative way, to delight our audiences.

Most of us started dancing with styles of Middle Eastern dance, such as Egyptian and Turkish. At a workshop we were introduced to American Tribal Style (ATS), and fell in love with it’s slow, sensuous movement.  We then adapted this style to suit the various interests of the members of our troupe.  We now add among others; Gypsy Caravan, Folk, Indian, Bollywood, and Street Dance  moves into our choreographies.

We arrange shows, to which we invite our many friends and who do different forms of dance,  to come along to share our joy of dance.

We dance regularly at events around the Bristol area, and are available to perform at charity events, fetes, carnivals etc.

We also link up with Tribal Heartbeat, a group of  drummers, and who perform using Dahola and Darabuka (Egyptian), Riq (Egyptian ‘tambourine’), Shamanic Drum and including occasional Bodhran.
